
Alum Mixes Business with Pleasure: Q&A with Ray Fortunato
Ray T. Fortunato (’47 B.A. Commerce, ’52 M.A. Music Composition) has spent most of his lifetime mixing business with pleasure.
Fifty years. Half a century. Five decades. Needless to say, much has changed in the College of Arts and Architecture since it was established in January 1963. Our student body has grown, our programs have diversified and expanded, and the number of faculty has almost tripled.
That type of growth is not surprising. While it’s fun to compare the 440 students of 1963 to the approximately 1,700 students of today, other numbers paint a better picture of the College of Arts and Architecture’s increasingly prominent role—not only in the cultural and artistic community of Penn State, but in that of Pennsylvania and beyond.
